Ripple's XRP Seoul Conference Marks Major Milestone in Digital Finance Adoption

Ripple is gearing up for a busy month of October with several key events and upgrades on the horizon. The first major event is the XRP Seoul conference, scheduled to take place at the Grand Hyatt Seoul from October 3-6 as part of Korea Blockchain Week.

The event will feature discussions between Ripple executives, including President Monica Long and SVP Markus Infanger, and major Korean financial institutions such as Kyobo Securities, Woori Bank, and Kakao Bank. The focus will be on tokenization, payments on crypto rails, and decentralized finance (DeFi).

According to XRP Ledger Foundation director of community Hussein Zangana (Vet), the sessions with these institutions are a significant step forward in the adoption of digital finance.

In addition to the XRP Seoul conference, several upgrades to the XRP Ledger will be implemented in October. The Batch and fixBatchV1_2 amendments are set to launch on October 9, while permissions delegation is expected to go live on October 8, provided they meet the required support threshold of 80%.
