Ripple's XRP Will Eventually Succeed, Says Former BlackRock Exec

A former Managing Director at BlackRock says Ripple's XRP will eventually succeed despite divided opinions on its future. Speaking on the UK Crypto Podcast, he stated that institutional adoption doesn't need everyone on board to be successful.

The current Managing Director and UK Lead at 21Shares believes opinions tend to split into extremes: either total conviction that XRP will dominate institutional payments or outright dismissal. He argues that Ripple's success hinges on continued adoption from major institutions already moving in that direction, not winning over the entire market.

The conversation also touched on tokenization beyond money market funds. The former BlackRock executive expects momentum to extend beyond traditional securities and believes 'pretty much anything' can be tokenized. He pointed to US 13F filings as a revealing window into institutional demand for Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, which include pension schemes, Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds, private banks, family offices, and wealth managers.
