RippleX Engineering Head Asks Elon Musk to Add RLUSD to X Money
RippleX engineering head J. Ayo Akinyele has called on Elon Musk to add Ripple's $RLUSD stablecoin to X Money, a financial service offered by Twitter owner X.
Akinyele made the request after Musk transferred $25 to his X Money account, and expressed hope that Musk would consider adding $XRP if he paid attention to the request for $RLUSD support.
X Money is a new financial service launched by X, which allows users to hold funds and make real-time peer-to-peer transfers. It is currently available on an invite-only basis for paid subscribers in the United States.
Akinyele's public pitch to Musk is not surprising, given Ripple's emphasis on $RLUSD as infrastructure for payments and its partnerships with Mastercard, WebBank, and Gemini to expand institutional payment use cases involving the stablecoin.
