RLUSD Overtakes XRP in Machine-Driven Transactions
The XRP Ledger's native asset, XRP, is losing ground to RLUSD in machine-driven transactions. According to XRPL AI Hub data, autonomous AI agents are increasingly favoring Ripple USD for continuous settlements due to its predictable and stable pricing.
This shift comes as machines require stable and measurable costs to operate within strict budgets. RLUSD offers dollar-linked pricing, which is less volatile than XRP's market price. In contrast, XRP remains exposed to market fluctuations.
BlackRock's research note, 'The Machine-Native Economy,' highlights the growing financial system built around autonomous software. The global stablecoin market has surpassed $300 billion, with annual transaction volume reaching $11.6 trillion.
Kalshi traders show mixed expectations for XRP's price in September and the rest of 2026. While near-term confidence is weakening, there is stronger expectation for higher prices later this year.
