RLUSD Stablecoin Shifts Between XRP Ledger and Ethereum

ETH XRP RPL LUSD

Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin has moved from the XRP Ledger to Ethereum in a cross-chain supply rebalancing effort. On September 6, Ripple burned 1,363,614.85 RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, followed by an identical mint on Ethereum seconds later.

The matched transactions indicate that the movement was not new issuance but rather a transfer of existing supply between the two networks. This shift effectively moved about $1.36 million in RLUSD liquidity from XRPL to Ethereum.

Ripple supports RLUSD on both XRP Ledger and Ethereum, allowing for supply rebalancing across networks. By moving tokens where users or exchanges need more available liquidity, issuers can manage their stablecoins more efficiently.
