RM Brings Art Collection to San Francisco Museum of Modern Art
RM, a member of K-pop sensation BTS, is bringing his art collection to San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). The exhibition, titled RM x SFMOMA: Between You and Me, will run from October 3, 2026, through February 7, 2027. This is the first time RM's collection has been showcased in the US.
The collection features nearly 200 works by Korean and international artists, showcasing modern and contemporary art from Korea and worldwide. The exhibition includes works by key figures in Korean art, such as Chang Ucchin, Kim Yun Shin, and Yun Hyong-keun. SFMOMA's collection will also be on display, featuring works by artists like Donald Judd, Henri Matisse, and Mark Rothko.
RM curated the exhibition with co-curators América Castillo and Hyoeun Kim of SFMOMA. In a press release, RM stated that he hopes the exhibition can be 'a small but sturdy bridge for many' between East and West, Korea and America, and modern and contemporary art.
