Robinhood Chain Aims for Neutrality in Developer Support
Roland Hoobin, CEO of Robinhood, said the company has not deliberately backed specific projects on the Robinhood Chain. The goal is to attract developers while keeping the platform neutral and lowering fees. Hoobin emphasized that the team's priority is to bring people to the network and make it as strong as possible.
The Robinhood Chain's public mainnet launched on July 1, 2026. It uses Arbitrum technology and is a permissionless Ethereum Layer 2 network. By the end of August, more than 340,000 tokens had been issued on the network.
Hoobin mentioned that developer activity on the Robinhood Chain ranks first, although he did not specify the measure or comparison group. He also stated that Robinhood wants to help developers and reduce fees as much as possible.
