Robinhood Chain Fees Plummet 97% Amid Steady Transaction Volume
Ronin's daily fees plummeted by 97% over two weeks, dropping from around $8 million to about $230,000. This decrease might seem alarming at first glance, but it actually indicates a more efficient network.
At its peak in early September, Robinhood Chain processed 13.1 million transactions per day, each costing an average of 64 cents. By September 16, daily fees had dropped to $230,000, while transaction volume fell by only 6% to 8.9 million.
This gap between collapsing fees and steady usage is the actual story here. The decrease in fees didn't lead to a corresponding drop in transactions, indicating that users are still actively using the network.
According to data, decentralized exchange (DEX) volume rose 5% to $13 billion between September 10 and 16, while stablecoin supply on the chain held roughly steady at $1 billion. Total value locked (TVL) sat at $930 million.
