Robinhood Chain Surges to 147M Transactions Amid TVL Concerns
Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer-2 network built on Arbitrum infrastructure, has reached a milestone of 147 million cumulative transactions in just three months since its public mainnet launch on July 1, 2026.
The platform aims to bridge the gap between traditional brokerage accounts and decentralized finance (DeFi) by enabling users' Robinhood apps to interact directly with DeFi protocols. With a block time of 100 milliseconds, ETH serves as the gas token, eliminating the need for a native Robinhood token.
Day-one partners include Uniswap, Chainlink, Morpho, Alchemy, BitGo, and Pleiades, with flagship products like Stock Tokens offering users on-chain exposure to equities. However, the Total Value Locked (TVL) picture reveals 90% of the capital is tied up in Morpho lending pools, indicating a lack of diversification.
RH's structural advantage lies in its distribution, leveraging an existing retail user base from its brokerage app to drive organic transaction volume. The involvement of Chainlink suggests Robinhood Chain is being built with tokenized real-world assets as a core use case, supporting lending products and perpetual futures on the product roadmap.
