Robinhood Chain's Explosive Growth Raises Sustainability Questions
A recent surge in TVL (Total Value Locked) on Robinhood Chain has raised questions about its long-term sustainability. The chain's current TVL of around $928 million is several orders of magnitude higher than that of four older chains, which have all seen significant declines since the last market cycle.
Fantom, Aurora, Canto, and Songbird are the four chains in question. Fantom peaked at $7.7 billion in locked value but now sits at a mere $4.8 million. Aurora's TVL has dropped from $2.6 billion to just $3.1 million.
Crypto researcher Stacy Muur pointed out these steep losses and asked if Robinhood Chain will be the next to suffer the same fate. The chain's current TVL growth is impressive, with a 71% increase over the past 30 days. However, its durability remains untested.
