Robinhood Ditches Crypto as Options Trading Surges

Share

Robinhood's crypto revenue took a significant hit in Q2 2026, plummeting by 38% year over year to $100 million.

This represents only 12.9% of the company's total transaction-based revenue, down from 53.3% in Q4 2024.

However, options trading saw a surge in revenue, reaching $342 million, surpassing crypto revenue sixfold.

The shift in focus to non-crypto trading has been driven by Robinhood's expansion into institutional exchange volume through Bitstamp, which added reach and infrastructure but not comparable revenue.
