Two Robinhood engineers have been charged with fraud for allegedly using confidential information about upcoming cryptocurrency listings to trade tokens on Hyperliquid's perpetual futures market.

Hefu Chai and Huaisong Xiang, who held engineering roles at Robinhood, had access to nonpublic listing information. They used this knowledge to take positions in tokens before the exchange announced their listings.

The trades were made through Hyperliquid's platform, with each engineer reportedly making more than $50,000 from the alleged scheme.
