Robinhood, the trading platform with 28.6 million funded customers, is integrating Ripple's stablecoin, treasury software, and trading loans. The company has added Ripple's RLUSD token, which launched in December 2024 and now has a market capitalization exceeding $2.5 billion. RLUSD went live on Robinhood's own blockchain and Bitstamp exchange on Tuesday, with plans to expand to the main Robinhood app later this year.
Robinhood will also use Ripple Treasury to manage its global cash operations, including payments, cash-flow forecasts, and intercompany netting. Additionally, Ripple Prime, a prime broker acquired by Ripple for $1.25 billion in April 2025, will provide lending and margin financing for trading across roughly 20 digital assets on Bitstamp.
Johann Kerbrat, senior vice president and general manager of Robinhood Crypto and International, highlighted the collaboration: “Utility is what moves stablecoins forward. Working with Ripple, Bitstamp and Robinhood will have access to RLUSD for institutional settlement, Ripple Treasury for our operations, and Ripple Prime for financing. That is what a connected, global financial system looks like.”
Robinhood, which previously scaled back its crypto listings during the SEC crackdown on Ripple, reintroduced XRP for U.S. customers in November 2024. The company will report its third-quarter results after the market closes on Tuesday, covering a full quarter since the July 1 launch of Robinhood Chain.
