Robinhood Expands Tokenization, Adds Crypto Futures and AI-Powered Trading
Robinhood's AI-powered agentic accounts, known as Robinhood Agents, have seen significant adoption since their May rollout. Over 150,000 customers have opened agentic accounts, allowing for AI-driven research, strategy, and trade execution.
The company is also expanding its tokenization capabilities, despite the limitations imposed by the SEC's five-year tokenized equities exemption. Robinhood is interpreting the rules while increasing the number of U.S. stocks and ETFs available for tokenization.
Robinhood is set to introduce U.S.-onshore crypto perpetual futures for various assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, Cardano, and Chainlink. The futures contracts will offer up to 10x leverage for BTC/ETH and up to 3x leverage for other assets, with leverage tied to user activity and liquidity.
The company has also added 24-hour trading and AI agents that can auto-execute trades outside regular hours, linking automated execution to the new extended trading capability.
