Robinhood Explores Prediction Markets Expansion with Crypto.com
Robinhood is exploring an expansion of its prediction markets business in collaboration with Crypto.com. The talks come as analysts predict significant revenue growth for the sector, even amidst regulatory challenges.
Following the launch of its prediction markets hub in March 2025, Robinhood has been working to build out its product category by listing event contracts with various exchanges, including Kalshi and ForecastEx. Now, the company is discussing a potential partnership with Crypto.com to list yes-or-no event contracts supplied by the exchange.
The move is seen as an opportunity for growth in the prediction markets segment, which analysts predict could reach $1.7 billion in revenue by 2028. Bernstein raised its price target on Robinhood stock to $160 from $130 a share, citing the company's outlook for prediction markets and tokenized equities.
However, regulatory risks persist as the CFTC asserts jurisdiction over event contracts, while gaming authorities in multiple states pursue lawsuits to block or limit such activity.
