Robinhood Eyes Asia Expansion via Singapore Hub, Notes Growing Demand for Korean Stocks
Rohanhood's Senior Vice President and General Manager of Crypto and Global Business, Johann Kerbrat, recently attended 'Korea Blockchain Week' in Seoul. The company has no immediate plans to enter the South Korean market but noted growing demand from overseas investors for Korean semiconductor and AI stocks.
Kerbrat stated that while there is significant demand abroad to invest in certain companies based in South Korea, Robinhood's main priorities are Europe, the UK, Canada, and Singapore. The company has secured necessary licenses in Singapore and will use it as a hub to expand its business in Asia.
Rohanhood is focusing on building its chain optimized for Real-World Assets (RWA), with plans to create more real-world use cases through tokenized stocks. The company currently offers stock token services in over 520 countries, aiming to integrate with its platform beyond trading.
