Robinhood Launches Bitcoin Price Prediction Contract for August 2026
Riding on the prediction market wave, Robinhood's Derivatives LLC has unveiled a new contract that forecasts the price of Bitcoin on August 18, 2026 at 12pm EDT. The contract, open to trading 24 hours a day except for Thursday mornings between 3am and 5am ET, predicts three possible price ranges.
The predicted price range is divided into four segments: $64,700 to $64,799.9931¢, $64,800 to $64,899.9928¢, $64,600 to $64,699.9919¢, and $64,900 to $64,999.9911¢. The contract also warns that not all cryptocurrency price data is the same and advises users to refer to CF Benchmarks' corresponding Real Time Index (RTI) for accuracy.
The contract's resolution determines the outcome of the contract, with payouts usually made within one hour of event resolution. Users are reminded that trading prohibitions apply, including restrictions on persons employed by Source Agencies or holding material non-public information on the Underlying.
