Robinhood Lets Users Bet on Bitcoin Price in 2026
Robinhood's crypto prediction market is offering a new contract for Bitcoin (BTC) enthusiasts, allowing users to speculate on the cryptocurrency's price on October 6, 2026. The contract resolves based on the price at 7pm EDT that day, using CF Benchmarks' Real Time Index (RTI) as the reference. Participants can bet on whether BTC will reach specific price thresholds, such as $82,300, $85,100, or higher.
The market operates on a straightforward payout system: users receive $1 for every correct contract they own if their prediction is accurate. Alternatively, they can close their positions before the event resolves. The final price is determined by averaging 60 RTI prices collected in the last minute before expiration, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution process.
Robinhood Derivatives, LLC manages these event contracts through various exchanges, including KalshiEX LLC and North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. The platform emphasizes that trading involves significant risk and is not suitable for everyone. Additionally, certain trading prohibitions apply, such as restrictions for individuals with material, non-public information or those employed by the source agencies.
