Robinhood Offers Bitcoin Prediction Market Contract for 2026
Robinhood has introduced a new prediction market contract for Bitcoin (BTC) traders. The contract, set to resolve on October 6, 2026, asks whether the price of Bitcoin will be at or above $86,335.68 during a 15-minute window from 9:45 to 10:00 AM EDT. The outcome will be determined by the simple average of the sixty seconds of CF Benchmarks' BRTI prices before each of those times.
The contract offers a payout of $1 for every correct prediction. Traders can also choose to close their positions before the event resolves, though additional fees may apply. Robinhood emphasizes that the price used for this contract is based on CF Benchmarks' Real Time Index (RTI), not other sources like Google or Coinbase.
There are trading prohibitions in place. Persons employed by any of the Source Agencies or those holding material, non-public information on the underlying asset are not permitted to trade on the contract. Robinhood also notes that futures, options on futures, and cleared swaps trading involves significant risk and may not be suitable for everyone.
