Robinhood Predicts Bitcoin Could Hit $85,400 by October 2026
Robinhood has launched a prediction market for the price of Bitcoin (BTC) on October 6, 2026, at 1:00 AM EDT. The platform allows users to bet on whether BTC will reach specific price thresholds, with the highest confidence placed on the cryptocurrency being worth at least $85,400, at a 99-cent price per contract.
The prediction market offers various price targets, including $85,500 (88 cents), $85,600 (45 cents), $85,700 (11 cents), and $85,800 (2 cents). The final price will be determined by CF Benchmarks' Real Time Index (RTI), which averages 60 RTI prices collected in the last minute before expiration.
Trading is available 24 hours a day, except for a two-hour window on Thursdays from 3 AM to 5 AM ET. Payouts occur within an hour of the event's resolution, and users can either hold their contracts or close their positions before the event resolves. Additional fees apply.
Robinhood Derivatives, LLC facilitates these event contracts through platforms like KalshiEX LLC and ForecastEX, LLC. The company emphasizes that trading involves significant risk and is not suitable for everyone, advising users to consider their financial circumstances carefully.
