Robinhood has launched a prediction market for the price of Bitcoin (BTC) on October 6, 2026, at 1am EDT. According to the platform, the most likely price range for BTC at that time is between $85,500 and $85,599.99, with a 60% chance. Other possible ranges include $85,600 to $85,699.99 (24% chance) and $85,400 to $85,499.99 (14% chance).
The prediction market operates 24 hours a day, except for a brief maintenance window from 3am to 5am ET on Thursdays. The contract will resolve based on the average of 60 real-time index (RTI) prices collected from CF Benchmarks just before expiration. Payouts are typically made within an hour of the event resolution.
Participants can earn $1 for every contract they own if their prediction is correct. Alternatively, they can close their position before the event resolves. However, additional fees apply, and traders should review the full contract terms and conditions. Certain individuals, such as employees of the source agencies or those with material, non-public information, are prohibited from trading on the contract.
The prediction market is offered by Robinhood Derivatives, LLC through various exchanges, including KalshiEX LLC, ForecastEX, LLC, Rothera Exchange and Clearing LLC, or North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. It is important to note that trading in event contracts involves significant risk and may not be suitable for everyone.
