Robinhood Revenue Surges Despite Crypto Trading Decline
Roger Tenev, Robinhood's CEO, announced that despite a decline in crypto trading volume and revenue, the company's overall revenue hit a record $1.31 billion during Q2.
This figure represents a 32% increase year over year, exceeding analysts' expectations of $1.26 billion. The growth was driven by increased volume in equities, options, and prediction markets, as well as ongoing blockchain product development.
The net income for the quarter came to $573 million, or $0.62 per share, a significant increase from last year's $386 million, or $0.42 per share.
