Robinhood Sets Up Bitcoin Futures Contract with Sept 30 Expiration
Retail trading platform Robinhood has set up a futures contract for Bitcoin that will resolve on September 30, 2026 at 11pm EDT.
The contract, which allows traders to bet on the price of BTC at the specified time, uses data from CF Benchmarks' Real Time Index (RTI) to determine its outcome.
Rather than providing a fixed payout, the contract offers $1 for every contract owned if the trader's prediction is correct. Traders can also close their positions before the event resolves and face additional fees.
The contract prohibits trading by certain individuals who hold material, non-public information about Bitcoin or work for specified agencies.
