Robinhood has launched zero-fee crypto trading in the UK via its partnership with Bitstamp. This move adds more than 50 cryptocurrencies to the platform, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP. The service also covers stocks, ISAs, options, and futures. Notably, there are no trading fees, account maintenance fees, or custody fees. However, users must pay a 0.1% foreign exchange fee, which could increase to 0.3% for certain weekend conversions.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) recently approved Robinhood's crypto registration in the UK, allowing its business to operate legally and meet anti-money laundering requirements. The launch comes as HOOD stock price climbed 0.77% to above $94 after reporting Q2 earnings that beat Wall Street estimates.
Robinhood Cortex Digests for Crypto is also available, providing a generative AI-powered tool that analyzes breaking news, market data, technical indicators, and the company's insights. This feature helps explain key factors driving price movements of individual crypto assets on a given day.
