Rockstar Games Investigation Video Sparks Crypto Scam Suspicions

Share

A recent video purporting to show representatives of Rockstar Games investigating a GTA VI leak has raised suspicions that it may be staged to promote a cryptocurrency scam.

The clip shows two individuals knocking on the door of Reddit user 'Pilotx1970' who had predicted major leaks of the game, including the identity of the account behind them, CyberLeek. The representatives appear to express doubt about the legitimacy of Pilotx's claims and question him about associates.

User suspicion was further fueled by Pilotx's promotion of his own 'GTA insider' cryptocurrency on several posts before deleting them. It was also discovered that Pilotx had previously been accused of scamming RC plane buyers on Facebook Marketplace.
