Rohanhood's Stock Tokens Hit SEC Exemption Caps

Share

Rohanhood's crypto chief Johann Kerbrat stated that the company is still trying to understand all the parameters of the SEC's five-year exemption for tokenized U.S. equities, which was issued on September 17.

The exemption sets limits on volume and which assets can be tokenized, but Rohanhood's stock-token volume is already high enough to run into these caps.

Kerbrat said that the SEC wants to work towards tokenization and understand its advantages. He emphasized that Rohanhood will continue to push for more adoption of stock tokens and broader coverage of U.S. stocks and ETFs.
