Russia Cracks Down on Unregistered Crypto Platforms Amid Ongoing Scam Investigation

Russian authorities have tightened their control on unregistered cryptocurrency platforms following the adoption of a new law on cryptocurrencies.

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) conducted raids on nine exchange platforms in Moscow, arresting more than 20 employees.

According to the FSB, these platforms were involved in laundering funds from scams and converting them into crypto-assets before transferring them abroad.
