Russia Proposes Regulation for Public Trading of BTC, ETH, and USDT
The Central Bank of Russia has released a draft regulation that includes Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Tether ($USDT) in the list of cryptocurrencies eligible for public trading on exchanges.
The proposed regulation aims to protect unqualified investors from sharp price fluctuations by limiting their purchases to the most liquid assets, with each brokerage firm capping annual buys at 300,000 rubles.
Qualified investors, however, will be able to purchase all cryptocurrencies traded on exchanges and over-the-counter markets without restriction.
