Russian Crypto Market Risks Isolation Under New Regulations

The Russian crypto market may become more isolated due to updated regulations, according to Kirill Pistsov, Head of Product Development at Finam financial group.

Russian market operators must work within the legal framework, making liquidity provider addresses and the movement of digital assets more transparent.

This makes it easier for foreign regulators and platforms to apply restrictions if needed, potentially impacting digital asset operations.

The Bank of Russia has limited the list of available cryptocurrencies to only Bitcoin, Ether, and the USDT stablecoin for public circulation within the permitted circuit.

Other cryptocurrencies remain outside this list, and market participants will assess the risks of using assets that have passed through Russian infrastructure.
