Russians' Mixed Views on Cryptocurrency Use and Legalization
A recent survey conducted by Rambler&Co from July 23 to July 30, 2026, polled over 2,000 internet users in Russia about their views on cryptocurrency.
The results showed that while there is interest in digital assets, it has not yet become widespread. Most respondents do not associate cryptocurrencies with personal tasks such as purchases, transfers, or investments.
About 8% of those surveyed see possible scenarios for using cryptocurrency, including paying for purchases abroad (6%), long-term investments and diversification of savings (4%), transfers and operations related to entrepreneurial activity (13%), and other use cases (22%).
