Russia's Moex Lists XRP Perpetuals for Qualified Investors

Russia's largest exchange, Moex, has listed perpetual futures on an XRP index, allowing qualified investors to trade the contracts. The XRPUSDF contract is cash-settled in rubles and quoted in US dollars.

The move comes after months of groundwork, with Moex setting the funding parameters for the contracts at 0% and 0.35%. Only qualified investors are allowed to trade these contracts, as retail buyers are capped at around $3,700 per year under Russia's new crypto legislation.

The existing book suggests there is real demand behind it, with over 72,000 qualified investors having traded Moex's crypto-linked futures by September 16, resulting in a cumulative turnover above RUB 600 billion or roughly $7.1 billion at today's exchange rate.
