RWA Perpetual Contracts Fill Overnight Gaps in US Stock Demand
The demand for U.S. stocks has been met through RWA perpetual contracts beyond market hours. Binance Research found that RWA-linked perpetual contracts are gaining traction to adjust exposure to U.S. stocks outside regular trading times.
U.S. stock exchanges operate approximately 32.5 hours a week, accounting for 87.2% of total equity trading volume. This leaves limited options for investors reacting to major company or market news overnight.
The September Federal Reserve decision showed the effectiveness of these contracts in responding to market-moving events. During this time, 16 equity-linked perpetuals tracked their underlying markets. SPYUSDT rose 1.11%, TMFUSDT gained 2.45%, and UVXYUSDT fell 5.94%.
Trading volume across the contracts reached $1.02 billion while U.S. cash markets were closed.
