Ryder Wallet Enables Restaking on Stacks Network Ahead of PoX-5 Deadline

The Stacks network has undergone a significant change with the PoX-5 hard fork on July 30, which reset the staking landscape for all STX holders. As a result, every single staker needs to actively opt back in under the new rules, similar to renewing a lease contract.

Ryder Wallet has stepped in to facilitate restaking through its Ryder Earn feature, powered by Fast Pool, a staking pool operated by Ryder itself. The process is straightforward: users select STX tokens, confirm the transaction on their Ryder One hardware device, and the tokens are staked while remaining under self-custody.

The August 12 deadline for restaking looms large, with every STX holder who was previously staking needing to take action. Stakers should be aware that the effective deadline could shift due to fluctuations in Bitcoin's hashrate, which affects how quickly blocks are produced.
