S&P 500/BTC Ratio Prints Rare Pattern Ahead of Potential Cycle Low
The S&P 500/BTC ratio has recreated a rare pattern seen at three major cryptocurrency cycle bottoms, according to market analyst Oliver L. Velez.
This pattern involves a four-month sequence of rising bars, with each bar producing a higher high than the previous period.
Historically, this pattern has appeared only three times, and in each case, it aligned with major lows identified by Fidelity: January 2015, December 2018, and November 2022.
The current sequence is developing, with its first bar closing in December 2025, followed by another in April 2026. The third bar closed on August 31, exceeding the previous bar's high.
Velez warned that this pattern offers no guaranteed outcome and does not establish that Bitcoin has reached another bottom.
