S&P Dow Jones Excludes Bitcoin from New Crypto Index

The S&P Dow Jones index is set to launch a new cryptocurrency index without including Bitcoin. According to Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Dushyant Shahrawat, BTC was excluded because it lacks the commercial development platform utility found in Ethereum, Tron, Binance Coin, and Cardano.

This decision comes as a blow to BTC's price prediction models, which now face added pressure. The asset currently trades within its Bollinger Bands at $63,580, with upper resistance at $65,617 and lower support at $62,878.

The EMA50 at $64,427 is acting as concrete resistance, while the EMA200 at $63,899 is capping upside. The MACD death cross at -239 and RSI at 41 confirm bearish momentum that favors a test of the 50-EMA before any recovery attempt.
