S&P Global Acquires Blockchain Security Firm OpenZeppelin
S&P Global has entered into an agreement to acquire OpenZeppelin, a company specializing in blockchain security. The acquisition is expected to enhance S&P Global's risk assessment and ecosystem development capabilities in digital asset markets.
OpenZeppelin was founded in 2015 and provides services for smart contract security evaluation and safe development. It has implemented over 900 security-related projects and discovered more than 10,000 vulnerabilities before they went live.
The company also offers the OpenZeppelin Contracts library, a reusable collection of smart contract code that can be used to manage token issuance and control permissions.
