S&P Global Buys Blockchain Security Platform OpenZeppelin

S&P Global is expanding its digital asset capabilities through an acquisition of blockchain security platform OpenZeppelin.

The deal, announced on Thursday, aims to complement S&P Global's risk assessment and ecosystem development in the digital asset market.

OpenZeppelin has facilitated more than $37 trillion in value transfers through its smart contracts, according to the company. The acquisition is expected to expand S&P Global's capabilities in smart contract and onchain technology risk assessment.
