Salinas Rejects AI Bubble, Boosts Bitcoin Allocation to 80%
Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas has increased Bitcoin's share in his liquid portfolio to 80%, up from 70%. He attributes this move to a classical value investing approach, similar to Warren Buffett.
Salinas emphasized that he avoids the 'AI bubble' and does not hold stocks or bonds. The remainder of his portfolio sits in gold and silver miners, a nod to his family's mining heritage in Mexico.
He also endorsed Strategy Inc.'s Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock (STRC) as a favorable investment, calling it a 'no-brainer' for dollar-denominated income. The security currently offers a dividend rate of roughly 11.5%.
