Samsung Integrates Stablecoin Support into Mobile Payment Platform

Share

Samsung is expanding its mobile payment platform, Samsung Wallet, by incorporating support for stablecoins. This move aims to bring blockchain-based digital transfers to Galaxy smartphone users worldwide. The update will combine payments, rewards, and digital assets within one application.

The company has not announced which stablecoins or blockchain networks it will support, nor has it confirmed the launch timing or regional availability. Samsung has positioned its wallet as a central platform for everyday financial activities, integrating payment cards, rewards, identification documents, and digital assets.

This initiative follows earlier partnerships with Coinbase, where the company integrated cryptocurrency purchasing services into Samsung Wallet for US Galaxy users in October 2025. The Coinbase partnership aimed to expand the service into additional markets over time, including promotional benefits for eligible new customers using Samsung Wallet.
