Samsung SDS and Dunamu Weigh Stablecoin Payments

Share

Samsung SDS and Dunamu are discussing stablecoin infrastructure and digital asset systems for potential cooperation. The talks cover issuance, management, and settlement of stablecoins as well as AI-based payment models.

Dunamu's CEO Lee Jun-hee said the company has already secured capabilities in digital asset infrastructure through its work with the Korea Securities Depository's tokenized securities platform project.

The partnership would combine Samsung SDS's IT services, cloud, and security capabilities with Dunamu's blockchain expertise to lead the market. The companies plan to develop commercial models for digital financial infrastructure rather than relying on a passive stake increase.

Samsung SDS can build and operate technology, while Samsung Securities could support regulated investment or tokenized asset services and Samsung Card may provide consumer payments and merchant networks links.
