Samsung Wallet has integrated USDC purchases through Stripe, making it easier for eligible U.S. Galaxy users to buy the stablecoin directly from their mobile devices. The feature, announced by Stripe on November 5, leverages its Crypto Onramp to support USDC purchases across 82 million compatible devices in the U.S. Users can fund their Samsung Wallet Stablecoin Account using Samsung Pay, credit/debit cards, or ACH bank payments.

The integration simplifies the process of acquiring stablecoins by eliminating the need for a separate crypto exchange account. Stripe handles identity verification, compliance, and fraud prevention, while Samsung Pay is now available to other businesses using Stripe’s Crypto Onramp. The rollout follows Samsung’s October 7 announcement, which scheduled the feature’s launch for late October.

Samsung emphasizes the convenience of sending money abroad through the wallet, with transfers supported to compatible crypto wallets and eligible bank accounts in over 60 countries. The company charges no fee for USDC transfers to supported external wallets, though network conditions and receiving services may apply additional charges. Future plans include online and in-store stablecoin payments, though these are not yet available.

To use the Samsung Wallet Stablecoin Account, users must be at least 18 and reside in an eligible U.S. jurisdiction, excluding New York. The account supports holding, sending, and receiving USDC, international remittances, and optional rewards. However, balances and rewards lack FDIC, NCUA, and SIPC protection, and funding, withdrawal, and transfer costs vary by method and destination.
