Samsung Wallet to Support Stablecoins in Mobile Payment Expansion

Share

Samsung has announced plans to add stablecoin support to its Samsung Wallet application.

The move is part of the company's efforts to expand its mobile payment platform into blockchain-based digital value transfers, said Lee Dinham, a Samsung product manager, during the Galaxy Unpacked event. The supported stablecoins and launch timeline have not been disclosed.

This development comes after several crypto initiatives from Samsung, including a partnership with Coinbase and investments tied to South Korea's digital asset market.
