SAND Price Surges 70% as Exchanges Lift Trading Caution
The Sandbox (SAND) cryptocurrency has seen a 70% increase in value over the past week, with its price rising from $0.044 to $0.081.
This surge is attributed to the removal of a trading caution designation from three major cryptocurrency exchanges: Upbit, Bithumb, and Coinone.
The caution was initially placed in August after an attacker exploited a bridge flaw on Coinbase's Base platform and Binance's BNB Smart Chain, minting an estimated $49 billion worth of SAND.
The Sandbox team subsequently severed the bridges and implemented a 1:1 compensation plan for affected users.
Despite the recent price increase, The Sandbox remains 98.98% below its all-time high of $7, reached in 2021, and 78.84% in the red on the yearly chart.
