The market allows users to buy in with cash (USD or USDC) from their main Coinbase account, with the payout determined by the result of the event. If the user buys 'Yes' contracts and the event happens, they will earn $1 per contract minus what they paid and fees. Conversely, if the user buys 'No' contracts and the event does not happen, they will also earn $1 per contract.

The market has a trading prohibition for current and former players, coaches, and staff of the league, association, or organization governing the event, as well as paid employees of the league and league participants. The fee applied to trades covers costs for operating the market and the broker fee, which varies by market.
