Saylor and Le Challenge MSCI's Non-Operational Company Filter

Michael Saylor and Phong Le, founder and CEO of Strategy, have sent a letter to MSCI asking them to withdraw their eligibility test for non-operational companies.

The proposal targets companies that have adopted a treasury strategy in digital assets, which Strategy has done by presenting its Bitcoin treasury as an operational segment in its Q2 report.

According to the letter, the filter is 'discriminatory, arbitrary, and misguided' and would not significantly impact Strategy's operations but could affect MSCI's reputation as a neutral index provider.
