Saylor Claims $15 Billion Value Boost Through AI-Powered Financial Models
Michael Saylor, founder and Executive Chairman of MicroStrategy, claims his company generated $15 billion in value last year by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to design novel financial structures. Speaking on a recent podcast, Saylor urged listeners to reconsider traditional wealth-building strategies due to systemic inflation and emerging automation changing the fundamentals of real estate and personal savings.
Saylor argued that holding fiat currency or taking on long-term property mortgages can erode personal wealth over time. He emphasized that AI models will handle an increasing share of routine intellectual labor, but economic rewards will accrue to those who use the technology to design new financial models.
According to Saylor, the US dollar has lost about 7% of its economic value every year for 100 years, citing historical land values in Florida as an example. He noted that holding uninvested cash carries long-term opportunity costs and that ongoing taxes and maintenance overhead reduce the effectiveness of residential property as a store of value.
Saylor advised listeners to reconsider traditional wealth-building strategies, arguing that fixed-supply assets like prime land, corporate equities, and digital assets such as Bitcoin will continue to serve as essential stores of value. He distinguished between consumable goods and scarce assets, stating that while technology will significantly lower the cost of basic goods and services, traditional currency will remain necessary for desirable goods.
