Saylor: CLARITY Act Setback Won't Halt Bitcoin Progress

Despite the setback for the CLARITY Act in the Senate, Michael Saylor remains optimistic about the future of Bitcoin and the broader digital asset industry. In his view, the failure to advance this legislation does not mark the end of progress for crypto.

Saylor believes that U.S. regulators still have tools available to provide greater regulatory certainty without congressional action on the CLARITY Act. He suggests that the SEC and CFTC could use their existing authority to establish clearer guidelines for cryptocurrency companies, investors, and financial institutions.

The Bitcoin pioneer also highlighted the potential role of traditional banks in accelerating adoption. Saylor expects financial institutions to expand Bitcoin custody services and increasingly offer loans backed by BTC as the asset becomes more integrated with mainstream finance.
