Saylor Seeks US Bill of Digital Rights Amid Bitcoin's Near-$85k Surge
Michael Saylor, executive chairman of Strategy, is calling on US lawmakers to establish a comprehensive 'bill of digital rights' to govern and encourage the use of digital assets.
In an essay published on X under the title 'Prescriptions for Prosperity in the Digital Economy', Saylor argues that this bill would safeguard personal and corporate freedoms, rather than limiting innovation.
He emphasizes that artificial intelligence can significantly boost economic productivity and that the financial system needs to evolve accordingly.
Saylor identifies five key rights: creating, issuing, custodianship, transferring, and using digital assets. He believes these underpin the value of assets like Bitcoin and warns that unnecessary restrictions could stifle their potential.
