Saylor Teases MicroStrategy's Resumed Bitcoin Buys Amid Macro Turmoil

Michael Saylor, the former CEO of MicroStrategy, hinted at the company's resumed Bitcoin purchases on social media platform X. He posted a graph of the firm's numerous BTC accumulations over the past six years and said 'A little more orange.' This suggests that Strategy may have resumed buying after a two-month pause in which it made sales at lower prices.

The last time Strategy purchased BTC was August 31, when it spent almost $370 million to acquire 4,603 units at an average price of $80,318 per unit. Since then, the company has focused on repurchasing its STRC stock, whose price has recovered to just below its par value of $100.

The timing of Saylor's hint is notable, coming as it does during a week marked by significant macroeconomic events, including the US Senate's rejection of the CLARITY Act and the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike for the first time in over three years.
