Saylor Unveils Digital Rights Framework for Future Economy
Michael Saylor, co-founder of Strategy, recently outlined his vision for a 'bill of digital rights' to foster prosperity in the future economy.
The framework proposes five fundamental freedoms for digital assets: creating new ones, issuing them to finance businesses and productivity, holding or choosing a custodian, transferring them among individuals and companies, and using them to spend, invest, earn income, and borrow against digital assets.
These rights should apply equally to both people and companies, according to Saylor. He emphasized that an asset's value depends on what its owner can do with it.
In light of rapidly advancing technology, which will automate jobs and make many products obsolete, future prosperity relies on the ability to create new businesses and opportunities at a faster pace, Saylor wrote. He aims for 10 million new companies to raise capital under this system.
